- prerequisite: language knowlegde at the B2/C1-level
- Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang DSH (German Language Text for the University Access of Foreign Applicants) directly after the course
- for students, who begin studies at IHI Zittau after de DSH exam, courses are free of charge!
- application deadline: July 15th (for non-EU-applicants: Mai 15th!)

Erasmus University Charter 2007-2013
In order to continue to make the participation in subsidised mobility programmes (e.g. internships abroad, which have thus far been eligible for funding through the Leonardo Programme) for current IHI students possible, IHI Zittau submitted the application for “Erasmus University Charter 2007-2013” to the responsible EU agency in Brussels in February 2007.
