The lectures in this field, which involve both well-established approaches to process management, new insights into innovation management and entrepreneurship, take an interdisciplinary approach through their connection to other courses of study offered at IHI Zittau. Moreover, cooperation with regional companies is a very important aspect of the curriculum.

A central task of the “Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship” Chair is the development of innovative research projects together with academic and industrial partners. The Chair is financed by ten regional and national companies as well as by the “Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft” (an association of companies which funds scientific research).
